2007 has just begun, yet your diary’s already crammed with
parties, weddings
and social engagements. Your spring/summer wardrobe, on the other
hand, isn’t quite as full.
Don’t be a head case.
Or, in fact, do: milliner Gina Foster (the daughter of royal
portrait artist Richard) likes nothing better than a creative
emergency. After an initial consultation, Foster (who trained under
Stephen Jones) will design a bespoke hat or headpiece; or choose
from her ready-to-wear range from £40.
Foster crafts traditional styles, including ’50s-esque headbands,
Jackie O pillboxes or elegant saucer discs, all of which can be
trimmed with elegant feathers, statement bows and delicate netting.
Colours like raspberry, teal, violet and chocolate
can be combined to match clothing and accessories.
Sport one of Foster’s designs to your next gathering and you’ll
easily get away with wearing one of last season’s outfits.
Hats off to her.
